Staples look worse than they really are.  I had them for my gallbladder surgery and it did not hurt to take them out.  I was surprised!  If I recall right they use a similar kind of staple remover that you use at home and in an office.    I was surprised!

Good Afternoon Paul and Illinois Friends!

Paul, I am so happy that your surgery went so well.  I am also amazed that you are posting and felling so good.  Don't overdo it.  I am sure those muscles will be sore.   I laughed when you said you felt naked because they shaved your hair.  Remember it will grow back fast.

I slept in today and it felt good.  I missed hooking up with my doctors office yesterday.  I had a complete blood count run when I went in for my regular protime tests.  So I have to wait until Monday to find out if I am low in blood or anemic.

No special plans for the weekend.  I am going to take it easy.

It sure is bringing back memories watching those of you posting about waiting for insurance approval.  I know this is hard to do but try and relax.  You cannot control the insurance company.  It WILL happen.  And remember, if you get a denial, Appeal, Appeal, Appeal.  I actually expected a denial the first time around because it is so common so I was not disappointed when I got it.

Hang ing there!

Hi Paul. Happy to hear from you and to see that you are doing well.

I remember that the port site hurt a lot - I was in more pain then when I had the RNY. Go figure that one!

Take it easy. Your stomach and muscles went through a heck of a lot.

Pain meds and sleep!

Hugs,
Lucy

Leona's Restaurant at Morse and Sheridan has a great brunch and I think it's in your price range.  It is the only Leona's that does brunch.

I'm not sure what part of IL you are looking at but you may check out ArrowHead Golf Course.  It's in Wheaton.  They have a HUGE facility that they just built about 1 -2 years ago.  Really nice facility and grounds.  Def could accomodate the people.  They have wedding receptions every weekend.

That is a lot you chewed off.  Glad it's you and not me!  LOL
